How to Emboss in 3 Easy Steps



Embossing, is a unique way to bring a design to life, it’s also simple process! This process isn’t limited to lettering, but since it’s my specialty that’s how it is demonstrated. Apply these techniques to all of your embossed projects to come!

You can use heat embossing to create custom gifts and cards, perfect for the approaching holidays!

Supplies:

Add caption
  • Smooth Surface: Thick Paper, Glass, Ceramics, etc.
  • Scratch Paper
  • Dry Paint Brush

Prep

a.       Gather your supplies
b.       Plug in your heat tool to preheat

Draw Your Design + Apply Powder

a.       Use your embossing pen and draw your desired design. Note: that the adhesive dries rather quickly
b.       Once you have your design, pour your desired embossing powder over it. Let it sit and set for a moment.

Pour the excess powder onto scrap paper, then dispense those remains back into the container.

3.       Heat
a.       Grab your heat tool and begin to melt the embossing powder, keeping it about 5 inches above the design.
